As potters, we often pray to the “kiln gods” for many reasons. Sometimes our final results end up different than what we expected when we started. So we say a little prayer that nothing explodes, nothing sticks, and that our glaze colors pop and combinations work when starting each firing.

This Kiln God figurine is what I believe a physical embodiment could look like. With 8 smaller faces and 1 larger half, a total of 9 beings, representing the things we pray for mentioned above and more.
